Advanced Life Support (ALS)

Century Ambulance Service, Inc. provides ALS services to all of our facilities as well as 911 assists to all our local and surrounding counties. Each of our 38 ALS units are equipped with hydraulic stretcher, cardiac monitor/defibrillator with vitals monitoring including real time CO2 levels, dual chamber IV pump, portable and fixed suction devices, intubation kits and all necessary ALS drugs. Each unit carries reserve supplies in addition to the supplies required for normal operations to ensure that our crews are equipped for any emergency situation including MCIs and other disasters. Each of our 24 hour ALS units include a team consisting of one paramedic with critical care certification (CCEMT-P), as well as another paramedic or EMT. Each of these teams have been trained to not only handle the standard emergency calls and facility transports, but have also had extensive critical care training to deal with ventilator, bi-pap, balloon pump, and other non-standard transports with a level of care and professionalism unmatched in the region.
